There are scenic hiking trails for all abilities, and it is a popular route for cyclists. The Jackson Falls and Fall Hollow waterfalls are worth a visit if you have a few days to explore the local area. Many people combine staying in Franklin for an event with a couple of days driving along this scenic route, stopping off at places like Trace State Park.

Winter months are fairly mild, and it rarely snows. If you are attending an event at the FirstBank Amphitheater, you should prepare for the weather, as the amphitheater is not covered. If rain is forecast, you can’t take umbrellas inside the venue, so ponchos are recommended and on hotter days, don’t forget your sunscreen.
